Online Tells

There are many different special tells that you can use when playing online. When players use checkboxes online and make a lot of their decisions ahead of time, then suddenly they're not using the checkbox, because they're taking longer, that could be a tell that they're having to think things through more, which could be a tell. If they use checkboxes and act instantly, chances are they don't have a very good hand, so didn't even need to think about it, and just clicked the checkbox and now waiting on the next card.

Squeezing

Squeezing is a tactic only used in a short-handed game. It's betting when you have a good hand currently, and you suspect another player or players may be on a draw. If you have top pair with the best kicker, chances are they won't make their draw, be it a straight or a flush draw. Your goal is to limit their pot odds.

Aggressive Opponents

When you pay Texas Hold' em poker against an aggressive poker opponents, you have not taking big, undue risks with weak or "drawing" hands. If executing this plan with precision against a predetermined players, and on terms of your choosing - not the opponent's.

False Shuffles

If one knows the top or bottom card of the deck, it's not too difficult to shuffle a deck so that either or both of those cards stays at the top or bottom, while mixing up the cards in between. The easiest two types of shuffles that can be used to set the top/bottom card are the riffle shuffle and the overhand shuffle. Cheaters will use these shuffles in combination, along with some false dealing to give any player certain cards. A simple way to prevent it is to make sure that another party cuts the deck before the deal. This will still give the dealer only the slight advantage of approximately knowing where the card are in the deck, but this usually isn't a large enough advantage to amount to anything. After the set deck is cut, the dealer also has the advantage of knowing that the former top card of the deck is directly beneath the former bottom card after the cut. That's why we have burn cards.
